Haven’t eaten in for a long time and chose to today for Mother’s Day!! Everything came out at once and was hot. Some dishes we wouldn’t get again as it was over cooked. (Shanghai beef and salt and pepper squid)
The combination hot pot was delicious and and the fried rice as always tasty. Family of 4 spent $157, but have dinner left overs.
Food is always good but it can be very busy. Recommend the Shanghai dumplings but let them cool a little first.
The staff is very nice. They always have sweet smiles, which make me happy. Dining in such a considerate environment puts my mind at ease, and the food is very yummy, especially the dumplings. Every time I go there, I must order the Dumplings, they are my favorite!
Very tasty food. Excellent value. Slow cooked beef noodle soup was huge and very delicious. The beef was tender and had plenty of vegetable too. The marinated cucumber salad was a good accompanying dish for a fresh and flavourful bite.
This place came highly overrated. 1 plate of dumplings turned up stone cold because they weren't cooked, i.e., meat inside was raw!! Another table's meal was delivered to us. Food allergy requests were ignored. We ordered 2 varieties of entrees (which turned up after main meals), 7 plates of dumplings (flavourless unless drowned in soya sauce), 3 flavourless Chinese meals and desert. All the meals turned up at once, including dessert, so there was no room on the table for drinks, one of which didn't come. It's definitely not the dining experience we were expecting. The food was soon cold, so we bought 7 Chinese containers for 50c each and took it home and heated it up ourselves. Serving us was definitely not the highlight of their night. If I can raise a positive point, it is that you order on your phone, so you have proof of what you actually ordered 😉
Service was great, super lovely staff.
Food was sub par.
1 - Fried dumplings were missing that juicy inside iv still managed to get when getting fried dumplings elsewhere.
2 - WORST spring rolls I have ever had
3 - Fried rice had no flavour, was not seasoned at all
4 - Garlic veg just tasted like wet grass not garlic.
5 - Kung Po chicken was very bland, not even a bit of spice, no seasoning.
Overall, big waste of $100… wouldn’t go back here again.
Absolutely the worst dumplings in Canberra, inside had the consistency and taste of breadcrumbs with some pork flavouring. Honestly surprised they have stayed open for so long.
Out off all the Asian restaurants I've tried in Dickson, this is the worst in the quality of food. Went a second time as my first was poor but maybe thought it was unusual as the establishment has been around for ages.
Even the staff are below average. Forty minutes till the restaurant was closing and the staff obviously didn't want to serve us.
Literally try any other restaurant in the area.
My go-to dumpling place in Canberra for the past decade. This time I had yummy fried handmade noodles and xiao long bao, as well as both boiled and pan-fried dumplings. It gets quite busy so probably worth booking
